Marc Marquez Declares Victory at Aragon GP a ‘Must-Win’ for Champions

Marc Marquez described his win at Aragon as ‘mandatory’ for him and the team, following a flawless performance at his home track, where he dominated every session and secured victory in both the sprint and Grand Prix races.

With this triumph, Marquez extended his championship lead to 32 points over his closest rivals, Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia, who finished second and third, respectively.

Reflecting on his perfect weekend, Marquez emphasized feeling comfortable in all conditions, noting the fantastic feeling he had during the race, especially after five laps, when he felt even stronger.

This victory marked Marquez’s fourth GP win of the season, highlighting his determination to avoid repeating mistakes like in Austin, which cost him valuable points earlier in the championship.

Despite the healthy lead, Marquez remains wary of his brother Alex and Bagnaia as strong challengers, as they aim to maintain consistency and compete for the MotoGP title.

The joyous podium celebration with his brother Alex at their home race showcased the bond between the Marquez siblings, as they danced and celebrated with fans, emphasizing their competitive yet supportive dynamic in the championship battle.
