Making Racing History: The Star Performers and Standouts from NASCAR’s Unforgettable Weekend in Mexico!

NASCAR recently hosted its first points-paying Cup race outside of the United States since 1958 in Mexico, with Daniel Suarez winning the Xfinity race and Shane van Gisbergen victorious in the Cup race.

The weekend had its share of challenges, including travel issues that altered NASCAR’s schedule, but it culminated in an exciting race and a stellar performance by the three-time Supercars champion SVG.

Shane van Gisbergen dominated the event, leading 60 out of 100 laps and finishing with the largest margin of victory in a Cup race since 2009.

Despite a solid performance, Ty Gibbs was unable to secure a win due to an unfortunate caution that dropped him to the 11th position.

Cole Custer from Haas Factory Team secured his best result of the year, finishing eighth after taking advantage of a timely caution.

Carson Hocevar faced a challenging race, being involved in multiple incidents and confronted by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for on-track contact.

Finally, Daniel Suarez gave his home crowd something to cheer for by winning the Xfinity race and showcasing an incredible comeback from last to first.
