Macau GT World Cup: Marciello takes commanding win for Mercedes
Marciello took a comfortable victory in the FIA GT World Cup, becoming the first repeat winner since the event started in 2015. He drove his Team Landgraf Mercedes-AMG GT3 to a 2.5 second margin of victory. Edoardo Mortara finished second in his Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3, followed by Augusto Farfus in the Rowe Racing BMW M4 GT3. Maro Engel initially challenged Marciello but later encountered issues, allowing Marciello to maintain his lead. Sheldon van der Linde’s battle for second was cut short due to a pit stop for a puncture, promoting Farfus. Daniel Serra secured fourth place in the only Ferrari, followed by Dani Juncadella in a Craft-Bamboo Mercedes. Laurens Vanthoor was the highest-placed Porsche driver in sixth. Christopher Haase finished seventh for Audi, while Alessio Picariello, Earl Bamber, and Leo Ye Hongli rounded out the top ten in Porsches. Kevin Estre suffered late misfortune, dropping him to twelfth place.
