Lamborghini | World Finals PRO/PRO-AM: Wins for Bonduel and Au/Schandorff
The BDR Competition by Grupo Prom team driver maintained his lead throughout the race, while the Target Racing team’s Schandorff emerged victorious in the PRO-AM class. Despite pressure from Riccardo Iannello, the poleman held on to first place without much difficulty. Nicolas Jamin and Mattia Michelotto made contact in turn 11, resulting in Michelotto losing positions and Jamin receiving a 10-second penalty. Brendon Leitch then overtook Michelotto to secure second place. Giacomo Pollini had to retire due to car damage, prompting the Safety Car to make an appearance. After the restart, Bonduel and Cabirou faced challenges from Leitch. Gilles Stadsbader was handed a Drive-Through penalty for speeding during the Safety Car period. In the end, Leitch claimed second place, Cabirou took third, and Iannello finished as the leading Italian in fourth. In the PRO-AM class, Schandorff secured first place, with a remarkable comeback from 28th position for teammate Au. Unfortunately, Edgar Maloigne ended up in the gravel, while Daan Arrow received a 20-second penalty for causing two contacts.
