Lamborghini | World Finals AM-LC: McGee and Varutti on pole
In Race 1, McGee from the PPM team secured pole position with a time of 1m33.628s, followed closely by Ibrahim Badawy in second place. Giovanni Anapoli took third place, finishing ahead of Friday’s Race 2 winner, Julien Piguet. Gabriel Rindone, the AM class champion, qualified in sixth position, while Paolo Leonardo Biglieri led the Lamborghini Cup category. Donovan Privitelio, the LC champion, finished with the thirteenth fastest time.
For Race 2 qualifying, Varutti from the Autovitesse team claimed the top spot with a time of 1’33”333. Badawy and Changwoo Lee took second and third place respectively. Blake McDonald secured the first position in the LC category, finishing with the ninth fastest time. Unfortunately, Luciano Privitelio ended up stuck in the gravel and will start the race in 36th position due to a red flag caused by his incident in turn 10.
