Jacob Abel returns to family team for 2024 Indy NXT campaign
22-year-old Kentucky native and Indy NXT driver, Abel, has confirmed his plans to return for a third season in 2024. Despite finishing fifth in the 2023 championship standings, Abel achieved four podiums, eight top five finishes, and one pole. He recently completed his first-ever laps in an IndyCar Series car during testing for Dale Coyne Racing. Abel expressed excitement to carry the momentum from the previous season into the upcoming one, aiming to contend for the championship. The team also announced series rookie Yuven Sundaramoorthy as their second driver for the 2024 season. The team’s next test is scheduled for November 13th at Barber Motorsports Park.
