F1 announces 24/7 streaming channel in the US
The Formula 1 Channel will be a 24/7 streaming platform in the US offering race replays, highlights, and evergreen content from F1, F2, F3, and F1 Academy. It will include classic grands prix reruns and racing documentaries, aiming to enhance the viewing experience for American fans. This subscription-free channel funded by ads is set to launch before the Miami Grand Prix as part of the 2024 calendar.
F1’s Director highlighted that the channel caters to diverse viewing habits, serving as an entry point for new fans. Operated by C15 Studio, the channel will be available on platforms like Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Freevee, and Pluto TV. The move complements F1’s existing broadcasting partnerships and F1 TV service in the US, offering fans a comprehensive F1 experience. Liberty Media’s initiative reflects the growing interest in F1 in the US, with strategic expansions and engagement efforts in recent years.
