Ducati hands Bulega works World Superbike seat for 2024
Italian rider Nicolo Bulega, currently leading the World Supersport standings on a Ducati Panigale V2, will step up to World Superbike (WSBK) and join reigning champion Alvaro Bautista at Ducati. Bulega impressed Ducati during test outings on the V4 R Superbike, earning himself a spot on the factory squad. Ducati Corse general manager Gigi Dall’Igna praised Bulega’s talent and experience, stating that he can compete with the best in WSBK. Bulega expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity and looks forward to learning from Bautista. The destination for 2024 of Bulega’s teammate, Michael Ruben Rinaldi, remains uncertain, with a possible move to Honda or a satellite Ducati ride being the most likely options.
