British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer welcomed 150 figures from the world of Formula 1 to an event at 10 Downing Street to celebrate the championship’s 75 year anniversary.
The era of Formula 1 grand prix racing started in 1950 at Silverstone, with this year’s championship heading to the Northamptonshire venue next.
F1 president Stefano Domenicali will speak at Downing Street to emphasize the significant employment sector within F1, with most teams having bases in the UK, contributing around £12bn to the UK economy annually.
Starmer also met with key F1 figures, including F1 President Domenicali, Liberty Media CEO Derek Chang, and F1 Academy CEO Susie Wolff.
