Alex Marquez broke his brother Marc’s unbeaten streak in MotoGP sprints with a victory on Saturday at Silverstone on his Gresini Ducati. Marc settled for second place after losing the lead early on and maintained a 19-point championship lead over Alex. Quartararo failed to convert his pole position into a competitive race result, as Marc overtook him early on with his Ducati’s power advantage. Despite a mistake from Marc giving Alex the lead, he never managed to challenge his brother for victory. Francesco Bagnaia started well but faded to third, while Di Giannantonio impressed to claim the final podium spot. Bezzecchi and Zarco rounded out the top five, with Bagnaia holding off Quartararo for sixth place. Acosta and Miller completed the top eight in the British Grand Prix sprint.
