Daniel Dye achieved his sixth top ten finish in the 2025 season by placing ninth in Nashville on Saturday, earning stage points in Stages 1 and 2. Unfortunately, Dye’s No. 10 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet failed rear height checks, leading to a post-race disqualification. As a result, he dropped from a projected 14th place to 38th place in the standings. Carson Kvapil moved up to ninth place due to Dye’s disqualification, with Sammy Smith now in 10th. This resulted in all five JR Motorsports cars finishing in the top ten, including Justin Allgaier’s race win.
Furthermore, the second-place finisher, Connor Zilisch, faced penalties for having two unsecured lug nuts, leading to a $10,000 fine and a one-race suspension for crew chief Mardy Lindley. Kaulig Racing faced additional challenges as they were penalized for unauthorized adjustments to A.J. Allmendinger’s Cup car before practice.
The 2025 season has been marked by a high number of post-race inspection issues across all three national divisions. Disqualifications affected winners in the Truck and Xfinity Series races, with Dye becoming the ninth disqualification of the year across all three divisions, with four incidents occurring in the Xfinity Series.
