Proposed alterations include an earlier deadline for presidential candidates to declare their intentions, potentially affecting Carlos Sainz Sr’s bid for election. These adjustments aim to uphold candidates’ professional integrity and minimize conflicts of interest, potentially impacting Sainz Sr’s candidacy due to his son’s Formula 1 involvement. Williams boss James Vowles expressed support for Sainz Sr’s potential run for the presidency, recognizing him as a suitable candidate.
