Charles Leclerc expressed his disappointment after qualifying 8th for the Canadian Grand Prix, believing he was in contention for pole position.
During his final Q3 lap, Leclerc lost control at Turn 7 following a strong first sector, citing Isack Hadjar’s Racing Bulls for creating dirty air that affected his performance.
Despite a crash in FP1 leading to a car part replacement, Leclerc felt it had minimal impact on his overall weekend, remaining comfortable with the car setup.
Leclerc, aiming for a podium, acknowledged the challenge of starting from 8th place and highlighted the need for quick progression in the race to achieve his goal.
