Sebastien Bourdais acknowledged that Cadillac must continue to enhance their performance following a challenging Le Mans 24 Hours race in 2025 where their factory cars, starting in first and second positions, fell out of podium contention.
The #12 and #38 Jota Cadillacs initially struggled for pace, slipping out of the top 10 early on and facing setbacks like punctures and penalties.
Despite the obstacles, the #12 car managed to finish fifth after a competitive surge, while the #38 car persevered to claim seventh place.
Bourdais emphasized the need for improvement in sustaining tire performance over long runs to be competitive in World Endurance Championship races.
Despite facing race control disputes, Bourdais set the fastest lap of the race, showcasing the Cadillac’s potential in high-speed corners.
Jota team praised the solid start to their collaboration with Cadillac, looking forward to future updates and improvements in the coming months.
