Alpine F1 team completes 200m euro stake sale to US investors
In June, it was announced that Otro Capital had acquired a 24% share in Alpine Racing Limited for 200 million euros, valuing the Enstone company at around $900 million. The transaction has now been completed and Otro co-founder Alex Scheiner has become a director of the team. Otro’s partners in the deal are RedBird Capital Partners and Maximum Effort Investments, led by Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds. Sporting legends, including golfer Rory McIlroy, boxer Anthony Joshua, and footballers Trent Alexander-Arnold and Juan Mata, are also behind the investment. Alpine hopes that the new partners will raise the team’s profile in the USA and secure future sponsors. The involvement of these investors demonstrates their faith in the team’s future success.
