After finishing ninth in the DTM race at the Lausitzring, Lucas Auer’s overall lead has decreased to just six points, which he blames on Marco Wittmann. Auer described the race as a “write-off” due to being pushed off track by Wittmann, causing significant damage to his car. Despite starting strong and passing Wittmann, Auer’s race took a hit on the second lap when the incident occurred. The collision resulted in suspension and floor damage to Auer’s Mercedes, affecting his performance throughout the race. Wittmann, however, viewed the incident as a racing incident and the stewards agreed, ruling it as such after reviewing onboard footage.
