Lando Norris had a challenging race at the Belgian Grand Prix, where the weakness of the MCL60 on high-speed tracks was exposed. Despite this, he finished in seventh place. At the following race in Monza, Norris had a better overall performance and was able to fight with other cars. Although he finished one place lower than in Spa, Norris felt satisfied with the result, considering it as damage limitation. He emphasized the progress made on a low-downforce circuit and highlighted the raceable nature of the car. Norris also praised Alex Albon’s driving skills, acknowledging that he struggled to overtake due to the Williams’ straight-line speed advantage. He also discussed a incident with Albon at Turn 1, where he believed Albon pushed him off, and a collision with teammate Oscar Piastri, which fortunately didn’t cause any damage.
