Winds of Change at Red Bull Racing: Technical Team Revamp in Wake of GianPiero Lambiase’s Exit

Red Bull has announced significant changes to its Formula 1 technical team structure due to the upcoming departure of Head of Race Engineering GianPiero Lambiase in 2028.

This departure marks a significant loss for Red Bull as they strive to recover from the departure of a key team member.

The team has confirmed Lambiase’s departure date but has not disclosed how this will affect the technical setup.

In response to this impending exit, Red Bull has revealed multiple key personnel adjustments, including promotions.

Ben Waterhouse, the current Head of Performance Engineering, will assume the role of Chief Design Engineer, with Andrea Landi joining from Ferrari to lead performance under Waterhouse’s direction.

By making these changes, Red Bull aims to enhance its on-track performance and further solidify its technical foundations in Formula 1.
