Tower Motorsports’ team owner John Farano will return to racing at the 24 Hours of Daytona since his accident last
The team has finalized their driver lineup for their #8 Oreca 07-Gibson entry in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race and for the full 2024 season. For the Daytona 24, Farano will be joined by Michael Dinan, Scott McLaughlin, and Ferdinand Habsburg. Farano will continue to drive alongside Charlie Eastwood for the 12 Hours of Sebring and beyond, with Dinan serving as their Endurance Cup driver. Farano was previously injured in a crash at last year’s fourth round and missed the Centenary Le Mans 24 Hours as a precaution. Habsburg previously drove for the team in the Daytona 24 in 2022, finishing third in the LMP2 category. McLaughlin, a Triple Supercars champion and Penske IndyCar driver, also participated in his first Daytona 24 for the team in 2023, finishing fifth. Eastwood will be balancing his IMSA LMP2 program with his commitments to the new Corvette Z06 GT3. The team is optimistic about their fifth-place finish this year and is aiming for a class win at the Daytona 24 and the IMSA LMP2 title against strong competition.
