VR46 Ducati rider Fabio Di Giannantonio topped the timesheets of the one-day in-season MotoGP test at Jerez, posting a 1:36.405s
Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales secured the second spot during his testing programme, just 0.087s behind Di Giannantonio. Franco Morbidelli adapted well to the Ducati Desmoseidici GP24, finishing third with a laptime of 1:36.527s after completing 82 laps. Spanish Grand Prix winner Francesco Bagnaia came in fourth, while Marc Marquez, the second-place finisher on Sunday, landed in fifth. Brad Binder from KTM clinched the sixth spot, with Vinales’ teammate Aleix Espagaro finishing seventh. The top-10 was rounded out by Alex Marquez, Enea Bastianini, and Jorge Martin. Yamaha’s Alex Rins and Fabio Quartararo put their new M1 through its paces, collectively completing 157 laps with Rins finishing 14th with a laptime of 1:37.024s. Raul Fernandez made his debut with the Aprilia RS-GP24 for Trackhouse Racing, securing the 12th fastest time. Honda struggled compared to other manufacturers, with Takaaki Nakagami leading the Japanese marque in 16th place. The remaining Honda riders occupied the bottom five spots on the timesheets, although Johann Zarco completed the most laps with 89.
