Fernando Alonso believes Formula 1 needs to be conscious that the current generation of cars “are not made for 80km/h
The debut race in Las Vegas was exciting, but challenging due to the lack of grip on the circuit and low temperatures. This has been a common complaint from drivers at similar street-based races since the introduction of the current generation of cars. The high speeds and lack of grip make it difficult and less enjoyable to drive. Alonso believes that the championship and calendar need to be balanced, and that traditional races in places like Barcelona and Silverstone should be included, where the Formula 1 cars can truly showcase their potential. Despite a spin at Turn 1, Alonso managed to recover and finish ninth, scoring valuable points.
