IMSA has confirmed 34 entries across three classes for the fourth round on the 2024 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, a 2-hour
The second sprint race of the season at Course de Monterey will feature the GTP, GTD, and GTD Pro categories racing around the 2.238-mile circuit with 11 corners, including the iconic Corkscrew complex. This event will clash with the FIA World Endurance Championship at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday 11 May, while the IMSA race will take place on Sunday 12 May. Each car at the sprint round will be driven by the two full-season drivers, with Mike Rockenfeller joining Gianmaria Bruni in the #5 Proton Competition Porsche 963. The entry list includes 10 GTP cars, with Renger van der Zande and Sebastien Bourdais aiming for another win in pursuit of championship leaders Porsche Penske. GTD Pro returns with nine entries, while the GTD class features 15 entrants, including the #12 Lexus RC F with Frankie Montecalvo and Parker Thompson. Turner Motorsport will celebrate their 557th race as a BMW customer team by fielding the #557 on their BMW M4 at the Course de Monterey.
