Following its first winless MotoGP season since 2003, Yamaha provided Fabio Quartararo with updated engine, chassis and aerodynamic parts at the Valencia test, where new signing Alex Rins made his M1 debut.
During the recent testing session, Quartararo and Rins focused on aerodynamics, with the Frenchman stating that they made progress in this area. However, the new chassis they tried was not successful, and the engine only showed slight improvements. Rins, who was riding with Yamaha for the first time, also tested the new aero and was satisfied with how quickly he adapted to the bike. The team director confirmed that they worked on aerodynamics, the 2024 engine, and a new chassis. Both riders noticed improvements, and the data will be sent to Yamaha engineers for further development. Quartararo and Rins will now participate in the Sepang Shakedown test and the Official test in February.
