Max Verstappen has revealed the moment he felt the most pressure on his way to winning his third F1 world championship.
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who recently won his third consecutive world title at the Qatar Grand Prix, has had a dominant season so far, winning 14 out of the 17 races. The race at Zandvoort in particular, which took place in heavy rain, caused him the most stress as he had to balance driving aggressively while also protecting his championship lead. Verstappen acknowledges the pressure of leading the championship and the risk of losing points if he were to go off the track. His victory in Miami, along with Spa and Zandvoort, are among his best wins of the season. He also finds his pole position in Suzuka to be especially satisfying, as the car felt fantastic to drive and he was able to enjoy the experience.
