Toto Wolff replacement revealed as he skips a race to undergo surgery
According to reports, the Mercedes team principal, Toto Wolff, will miss the Suzuka event on September 22-24 due to a knee injury and upcoming surgery on his cruciate ligament, which was sustained during a training accident. Jerome D’Ambrosio, a former F1 driver, will act as Wolff’s replacement for the race. Wolff will be present at the Singapore Grand Prix the following weekend, skip the Japan race, and return for the Qatar event on October 6-8. D’Ambrosio has taken on important responsibilities within the Mercedes team, including those previously handled by James Vowles.
