Starting grid for the Malaysian MotoGP: How the race will begin
Alex Marquez of Gresini Ducati has dominated the weekend in Sepang, winning the sprint race and leading the timesheets on Friday. The gap between current world championship leader Francesco Bagnaia and second-place Jorge Martin has been reduced to 11 points after the sprint race on Saturday. Bagnaia and Martin will start the grand prix in the front two positions, with the championship still up for grabs. It’s worth keeping an eye on Marc Marquez, who starts from a lowly 20th place. Also, watch out for Alvaro Bautista, the WorldSBK champion and Ducati wildcard, who starts from 21st.
