Starting grid for F1 Italian Grand Prix: How the race will begin
Sainz gave the Tifosi a lot to cheer about as he secured pole position at Monza by beating Max Verstappen from Red Bull. His teammate Charles Leclerc will start from the third position. George Russell outperformed Sergio Perez from Red Bull and placed his Mercedes on the second row. Alex Albon from Williams achieved an impressive sixth place on the starting grid. Lewis Hamilton had a disappointing qualifying session and could only manage eighth place, placing him between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris from McLaren. Fernando Alonso from Aston Martin completes the top-10 starters, while Lance Stroll starts from the last position on the grid.
