Michael Ruben Rinaldi debuted for Motocorsa Racing at this week’s WorldSBK Jerez test.
In his first appearance since leaving Ducati’s WorldSBK factory team, Rinaldi performed impressively by finishing as the second-fastest on Tuesday and sixth-fastest on Wednesday. Over the course of two wet days at Jerez, Rinaldi completed 105 laps, aiming to familiarize himself with his new 2024 machinery. He expressed surprise at the similar level of performance between his new team and the factory team, stating that the feeling inside his helmet on the first lap was enjoyable. Wednesday allowed for more laps to be completed, providing the opportunity to experiment with various aspects of the bike. Despite not being as fast in time attack, Rinaldi felt satisfied with his consistency and pace on used tires. He commended the team for their work and expressed overall happiness as he heads into the winter break.
