Miguel Oliveira’s injury-ravaged MotoGP campaign has continued with the RNF rider suffering a ‘broken right scapula’ in the Qatar Sprint.
Oliveira’s season has been plagued with injuries. Starting with ligament injuries to his leg caused by Marc Marquez at Portimao. He then suffered a dislocated and fractured left shoulder when Fabio Quartararo’s bike brought him down at Jerez. On Saturday, he injured his right shoulder blade in a collision with Aleix Espargaro’s Aprilia at Turn 6 of the Lusail circuit. The incident is still under investigation. Oliveira’s injury will likely cause him to miss not only tomorrow’s grand prix but also next weekend’s Valencia finale. Espargaro also suffered a small fracture in his left leg and his fitness to ride will be reviewed before the warm-up.
