Luca Marini says he’s worried about the main race at the Qatar MotoGP after ‘finishing’ the rear tyre less than halfway through the sprint.
The polesitter had a strong start and led in the early stages, but came under attack from Alex Marquez. Marini was able to hold off Marquez a few times, but couldn’t match eventual race winner Jorge Martin. Marini lost first place on lap five and also faced pressure from Fabio Di Giannantonio. Despite claiming pole and a podium finish, Marini is concerned about the main race due to difficulties with the rear tire. He struggled with tire wear and is worried about tomorrow’s race. Marini will try to find a solution and focus on tire management to have a stronger challenge against Martin.
