MotoGP title runner-up Jorge Martin has pinpointed where he would like the 2024 Ducati to improve over last year’s machine.
While other Ducati riders felt that the GP23 had a weakness in the corner entry phase compared to its predecessor, Martin, who has a different riding style, identified front locking as his biggest challenge. He acknowledged that they were struggling more than other brands in terms of front locking and that it was not easy to ride when the front locks in every corner. Martin believes that improving the stability of the bike during braking is crucial for them. Despite finishing second in the championship fight last season, Martin is proud of the progress made as a satellite team and hopes to start the 2024 season strong. He also hopes to impress the factory bosses to secure a place in the official team. Martin believes that his performance, including fighting for the MotoGP title until the last race, clearly demonstrates his potential.
