Bautista had a difficult start, losing two positions and almost colliding with Alex Lowes. However, he quickly made progress and passed Dominque Aegerter. There was chaos on the track, resulting in a red flag being deployed. After the race restarted, Bautista had a better start and only lost one position. He eventually took the lead from Aegerter and maintained it, while Razgatlioglu struggled to keep up. Rea managed to overtake Razgatlioglu and challenged Aegerter for third place. With three laps to go, Bassani crashed, but Bautista remained in the lead with Aegerter close behind and Rea gaining ground.
