Hill: Wolff's 'churlish' Verstappen remarks show he’s “hurting a bit now”
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff dismissed Max Verstappen’s record-breaking winning streak as “irrelevant” and just a statistic for Wikipedia. He mentioned that Mercedes had a different situation with two drivers competing against each other within the team. Former world champion Damon Hill criticized Wolff’s comments, calling them ungracious and out of character. He also mentioned that Mercedes seems a bit lost and unable to respond to Red Bull’s dominance. Hill believes that Red Bull could potentially win every race this season. Despite their struggles, Hill expects Mercedes to come back strong next year with a title contender they currently cannot use on their current car.
