Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has called on F1 to be “respectful of the locals” amid complaints about the Las Vegas Grand Prix from residents.
The return of F1 to Las Vegas after nearly 40 years has generated a significant amount of excitement and anticipation. However, the construction of the new track has caused a great deal of inconvenience and disruption for local residents. The resulting slow traffic, inconvenient pedestrian paths, and visual and noise pollution have led to numerous complaints. In response, Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei has issued a formal apology and expressed gratitude for the residents’ patience and tolerance. While F1 hopes to bring substantial economic benefits to the area, Lewis Hamilton emphasized the importance of being respectful to the local community and ensuring that their needs are taken into consideration.
