Garrett Gerloff and Scott Redding believe Toprak Razgatlioglu is the perfect rider to push forward BMW’s WorldSBK project.
Razgatlioglu’s decision to join BMW midway through last season was a calculated risk, considering Yamaha’s recent competitiveness. Although BMW has lacked the same results, other top riders have joined the brand, and Razgatlioglu aims to surpass Ducati and Alvaro Bautista. Gerloff, who also switched from Yamaha to BMW, believes Razgatlioglu’s talent and influence can benefit the team. The bike is already in a good position, but Razgatlioglu’s input on issues like engine braking can help solve them quickly. Redding, Razgatlioglu’s teammate, sees his arrival as positive, as it adds another accomplished race winner to BMW’s roster and can offer new perspectives and techniques.
