KTM, which finished as Ducati’s nearest rival in the MotoGP standings, focussed on electronics and some ‘camouflaged’ aerodynamics at the Valencia test.
The KTM team is focused on making small advancements in various areas, such as electronics and aerodynamics, in order to improve the performance of their bike. Their engine and carbon fiber chassis are already strong, but there are still areas that they can work on. One notable development is the ‘zebra’ fairing, which is painted black and white to conceal visual details from their competitors. They have also explored different directions for aerodynamics, as this will be an important aspect to homologate for the next year. The team has learned a lot from their testing, including experimenting with exhaust systems, engine management, and electronics. Brad Binder and Jack Miller both had positive experiences testing the bike, with Binder achieving his best result and Miller making improvements in grip and power range. The team is pleased to have reached the end of the season after a hectic year.
