Nicolo Bulega says being WorldSSP champion is something he will ‘remember for the rest of his life’ as he gets sets for his rookie WorldSBK campaign.
The Aruba.it Ducati rider, Bulega, had a dominant season in WorldSSP, winning 16 races in 2023 and securing Ducati’s first-ever Supersport title. He will now join Alvaro Bautista, two-time WorldSBK champion, as teammates. Bulega’s speed and consistency in WorldSSP were unmatched, making him a strong addition to the team. This opportunity in WorldSBK is his last chance to be a professional rider, after a difficult time in Moto2. Bulega is replacing Michael Ruben Rinaldi and is the first rider since 2021 to move directly from WorldSSP to a factory ride in the premier class. Winning the world champion title in Race 1 at Portimao was the highlight of his season, but he cherishes the entire journey.
