If the other six Ducati riders pick a side in the Francesco Bagnaia vs Jorge Martin MotoGP title battle, the reigning champion looks to have the most “friends”.
Italian rider Francesco Bagnaia, who currently leads the MotoGP championship, may have the support of his teammate Enea Bastianini, as well as fellow VR46 Academy members Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini. While Bagnaia has always stated that he doesn’t want his teammates to sacrifice their own chances of winning, he acknowledged the possibility of working together with Bastianini during practice sessions, potentially taking turns to provide slipstream assistance. On the other hand, Martin, who is currently second in the championship, seems solely focused on his own performance and isn’t concerned about the support his teammate Johann Zarco could provide. At present, Bagnaia holds a 14-point lead over Martin, with two more races to go in Qatar and Valencia.
