MotoGP series leader Francesco Bagnaia believes he’s in great shape heading into both races at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Bagnaia finished eighth in Practice 2 and secured his spot in Q2, along with his title rival Jorge Martin. Despite a slow start, Bagnaia’s pace with used tyres indicated that he has nothing to worry about. He expressed his happiness with his performance on day one at Sepang and stated that being in the top ten was their maximum objective for the day. Bagnaia is confident in his race pace and feels that he can contend for similar results as he did last season where he was victorious at Sepang. He had no concerns with the softer rear tyre during Friday practice and plans to use it for both races. Bagnaia is optimistic about his performance and stated that it’s the first Saturday in a while where he doesn’t feel the need to change anything.
