Malaysian MotoGP race winner Enea Bastianini and title leader Francesco Bagnaia were among five riders to receive an official warning for low front tyre pressures at Sepang on Sunday.
The first offence of breaching the minimum tyre pressure does not affect the race results of Bastianini, Bagnaia, Luca Marini, Alvaro Bautista, and Iker Lecuona. However, if they repeat the offence in the remaining two rounds, they will receive a 3-second post-race time penalty. Bagnaia, the title leader, has now used up his warning, just like rival Jorge Martin, who received his warning in the previous Thai Grand Prix. Starting from next season, no warnings will be given, and riders will be disqualified if they fail to reach the minimum pressure for at least 33% of a Sprint race or 50% of a grand prix.
