During the post-race celebrations at the Hungaroring in July, Lando Norris accidentally knocked off Max Verstappen’s trophy while opening a bottle of Ferrari sparkling wine. The trophy, valued at $45,000 and meticulously hand-decorated over six months, broke into several pieces. The porcelain manufacturer, Herendi, fast-tracked the creation of a replacement cup, which was presented to Verstappen by Norris. Verstappen jokingly stated that Norris was not allowed to touch the trophy, and Norris was given a joke invoice for the replacement. The incident was captured on Instagram, and the Herendi company released a video showcasing the creation of the replacement. Coincidentally, Red Bull also broke their winning constructors’ trophy from the Belgian Grand Prix the following week.
