Iron Dames driver Michelle Gatting was forced to step down from the Le Mans 24 Hours after a pitlane incident left her with a broken foot.
Sarah Bovy replaced Gatting in the all-female Iron Dames Porsche 911 GT3 R line-up due to the unfortunate accident.
During a congested pitlane, the car landed on Gatting’s foot while attempting a routine driver change.
Gatting remains determined to return to action at the Imola round of the European Le Mans Series on July 6th.
Despite missing out on Le Mans, she is focused on continuing to fight for the ELMS LMGT3 title with her team.
Gatting expressed disappointment over the missed opportunity at Le Mans but remains optimistic about the future.
