Four-time British Touring Car champion Colin Turkington made a notable debut on his Super Touring outing, however, the headline victories at Brands Hatch last weekend were claimed by ‘team boss’ Jason Hughes and historics ace Michael Lyons. The event marked another successful edition of Super Touring Power, a celebration of touring car history with BTCC stars from different eras shining in various classes. Turkington’s prowess was evident as he secured pole position and led the race until a suspension failure dashed his hopes. Hughes and Lyons emerged victorious in the Super Tourers races at the circuit, showcasing their skill and experience in the historic cars. The weekend also saw impressive performances from other drivers, such as Paul Mensley in the Group A category, adding excitement and drama to the event for both competitors and spectators.
