Tom Ingram won the first race of the British Touring Car Championship round at Thruxton after a battle with Ash Sutton, who is the current series leader.
Ingram made a move on Sutton on the opening lap, but they had a collision at the chicane, prompting a caution period.
After the restart, Ingram attacked Sutton again and managed to overtake him, only to be hit by Sutton’s Ford at the chicane, sending both cars off the road.
Despite the incident, Ingram held on to win the race, with Sutton eventually dropping back due to a power loss.
Ingram expressed his satisfaction with the victory, noting the intense and close race with Sutton.
