The last time I interviewed Robert Kubica was on 31 January 2011, just before the first test of the new Renault R31. He expressed hopes of becoming a title contender after a promising 2010 season. Sadly, six days later, Kubica had a severe accident that changed the course of his career and life.
Despite the accident, Kubica has shown determination and made a comeback in rallying. He is still passionate about motorsport, but his F1 career was cut short. The injuries to his right arm have limited his abilities, but his enthusiasm remains unbridled.
Kubica views F1 as a significant part of his life, but understands he cannot return to the same level as before. He appreciates his past achievements and acknowledges that his F1 story ended sooner than expected. Despite the challenges, Kubica remains dedicated to his love for racing.
