Phil Hanson considers starting his car racing career in endurance racing as the best mistake he ever made. Nine years later, he celebrates winning the Le Mans 24 Hours overall in a Ferrari, which he describes as a crazy story. Hanson’s success includes victories and championships in LMP3 in the Asian Le Mans Series, along with titles in the European Le Mans Series and World Endurance Championship. His unconventional route to sportscar racing was influenced by Tockwith Motorsports and a successful karting career. Hanson, now 25, has competed in Le Mans nine times, securing two wins and building valuable experience in endurance racing.
