Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel is in early talks with Helmut Marko about possibly succeeding him as an advisor to the Red Bull Formula 1 team in the future. Marko’s contract with Red Bull runs until the end of 2026, and the Austrian hasn’t confirmed if he will continue beyond that, at 84 years old. Vettel expressed interest in the role but is unsure of the specifics: “What form that might take will have to be seen.” Vettel acknowledges Marko’s contribution and realism, saying: “He’s quite a character and made a very big contribution.” Vettel, who retired in 2022, enjoys observing F1 dynamics and psychology, highlighting the importance of continuing Marko’s work. Marko mentioned that Vettel is closely monitoring the situation, indicating that long-term succession is a matter for the company’s shareholders.
