Tanak Dominates Acropolis Rally as Rovanpera Exits the Stage

Ott Tanak extended his lead to 43.6s over Sebastien Ogier going into the final day of the Acropolis Rally Greece, positioning Hyundai for a potential first win of the 2025 World Rally Championship season.

Tanak dominated Saturday’s gravel stages by winning five out of six in hot conditions, strengthening his hold on the lead.

Despite a minor setback for Hyundai’s Adrien Fourmaux, who ended the day in third place after stage 10, Tanak maintained a comfortable lead with four stages to go on Sunday.

Tanak’s decision to return to a base set-up for his i20 N proved successful after struggling on Friday, positioning him well for the demanding conditions.

Ogier briefly interrupted Tanak’s stage winning streak in stage 10 but couldn’t match his pace, focusing instead on avoiding setbacks like punctures or damage.

Toyota suffered setbacks as Kalle Rovanpera and Takamoto Katsuta retired in a challenging stage 11, while Fourmaux faced adversity but managed to repair his car and keep going.
