Stroll Defends Aston Martin amidst Replacement Rumors, Slams Critics as ‘Short-sighted’

Lance Stroll has addressed the suggestions that he should be replaced at Aston Martin following a point drought since the Miami Formula 1 sprint race.

Despite a decent start to the season with points in Australia and China, Stroll has struggled to score in subsequent races, with fifth in Miami sprint his best performance in this period.

An injury caused him to miss the Spanish Grand Prix, and Timo Glock suggested Aston Martin should drop him during the Canadian GP weekend.

Stroll acknowledged the criticisms, commenting in Austria that Formula 1 operates with short-term judgments, where a couple of good races can elevate a driver, while bad performances can quickly lead to doubts about one’s skills.

However, Stroll remains unfazed by external opinions, preferring to focus on his performance and maintain a small circle of trusted individuals for support and advice.
