Gordon Shedden, the three-time British Touring Car Championship title winner, emerged victorious in a thrilling final race at Oulton Park, showcasing his skills in the Speedworks Motorsport Toyota Corolla GR Sport from pole position. Despite unfavorable weather conditions and a disrupted grid, Shedden managed to maintain his lead and fend off fierce competition. Reigning champion Jake Hill put up a strong fight in the West Surrey Racing BMW 330i M Sport, but ultimately fell short due to a series of incidents. The race saw intense battles among the top contenders, including Ash Sutton and Dan Rowbottom in the Alliance Racing NAPA Ford Focus STs. In a dramatic finish, Shedden secured his 53rd BTCC victory, with Sutton claiming second place and Rowbottom holding off Tom Ingram for third. Despite challenging circumstances, various drivers such as Senna Proctor and Dexter Patterson made impressive comebacks and battled their way into the top 10. Overall, the race at Oulton Park provided thrilling moments and showcased the competitive spirit of the BTCC.
